“Marrkap’mi Wäŋa Nhulunbuy” (My Sweet Home Nhulunbuy)
A cross-cultural school holiday collaboration of epic proportions, “Marrkap’mi Wäŋa Nhulunbuy” (My Sweet Home Nhulunbuy) sees some Arnhem Land’s hottest talent team up with the local youth to make this positive new song and film clip.
The Nhulunbuy Djamarkuḻi (Nhulunbuy Kids in the local Yolŋu Matha) is the artist name the group decided on, consisting of 29 Yolngu (Indigenous) and Balanda (non-Indigenous) youth of Nhulunbuy aged between 10 and 18 years of age.
The project, delivered by the Nhulunbuy Corporation in conjunction with Aris & Grimes, with big thanks to the Office of Youth Affairs - NT Government for the funding in association with the Nhulunbuy Youth Council.
