    It was incredible to see so many young people come together to celebrate 25 Years of Youth Week in the NT at Parliament House tonight. From the confident 16-year-old MC owning the stage, to the talented performers sharing their gifts, and the dedicated crew working behind the scenes—it was a true showcase of youth power and passion. This year’s theme, “Lift Up Your Voice,” couldn’t be more fitting.

    Celebrating 25 years in 2025. NT Youth Week Turns 2️⃣5️⃣! From 4–16 April, we're celebrating young Territorians with an action-packed program! This year’s theme, ‘Lift Up Your Voice’, is all about empowering YOU to speak up and make a difference 📣 What's on: 🎦 Movies, 🏊‍♀️ Pool Parties & Colour Run 🛠 Workshops on first aid, public speaking, radio broadcasting, leather making, barista training, hairdressing. 🎶 Discos, self-defence classes, fishing, gaming events, movie days, board games, Hoops 4 Health basketball sessions. 🌟 The Top End Youth Conference will kick-off NT Youth Week on Friday 4 April. 📍 Events are happening all over the Territory, from Nhulunbuy to Darwin to Alice Springs, Katherine to Tennant Creek, and beyond. She is dedicated to improving mental health support and advocating for inclusive community activities that give youth a sense of connection and purpose.

    Good news for everyone staying over the Christmas/New Years Break! The Nhulunbuy Aquatic Centre will have FREE casual entry from Monday December 16th to Tuesday January 28th for both kids and adults! For 6 weeks, you'll be able to enter the pool free of charge during all open hours. Please note, this does not extend to after-hours access - you must be a member and pass an induction for after-hours access. This program is a collaboration between the Nhulunbuy Corporation and the Northern Territory Government.

Drawing from her own experiences and challenges of living in a remote location, she is passionate about voicing the concerns of young people from similar situations.

Studying Certificate II in community services, Evannah is a proactive member of the Student Representative Council, advocating for safe spaces, employment opportunities, and increased activities for young people in her region.
